Where Can You Find The Top Best Robot Vacuum That Mops Information?
The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers are a great option for those who wish to cross mopping off the to-do list. They are equipped with impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other models on this list making it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.
It is very quick and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in one go. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to pick up dirt, pet hair, and poop easily. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.
The mopping efficiency is less impressive, though not by much. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, such as books and toys that have been damaged.
Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever used. It doesn't create the same volume of sound while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and performs well, but this is something you'll need to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. automatic vacuum cleaner is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.
The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean methodically and effectively. This will ensure an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively rapid.
In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach an array of surface areas. They can reach corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also come with a stretchy side brush that extends to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to reduce odors and prevent buildup.
Another feature worth mentioning is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction strength and select an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also set the number of passes it must make, which will affect how quickly the device can traverse your home. You can also deactivate the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
The device comes with a expensive price tag, but it comes with a large selection of smart features. It's crucial to note that it incurs periodic expenses in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hours, and the mop pads must be changed every one to three month.
This robotic vacuum cleaner is rated highly on Amazon and comes with a wide range of physical automation features. The vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as the 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home' button to send it home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the trash bin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation and long battery life make it easy to maintain a clean house with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. It has two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming however it does mean you don't have to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.
Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise map of your floorplan which it uses to create an outline for cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which help to shield specific areas of your home from being cleaned with mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up hair of pets. It was able to capture the majority of hair that our cats shed and even was able to get into the nooks and crevices of our stairs while other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low, and there were some nice jingles to signal that it was in the process of working towards its goal.
The biggest flaws were its simplistic app and the requirement to change between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app doesn't have the capacity to contain multiple maps, which could be a problem for homes with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can vacuum and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, however it also has distinct features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock that doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a cleaning sink as well as a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.
The base has a few control buttons that let you manually start cleaning tasks, recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to switch on the child lock that is a great touch for parents worried about children playing with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture in its path. It will steer clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. This is a rare event, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert on its application.
Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing sight in a space which is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
